I picked up the RidingRush Bell not for a child’s bike, but for my wife’s. Even though it’s advertised as a kids’ accessory, I figured a bell is a bell, and being heard on the road is important no matter the rider. Here’s her take after using it:
The biggest plus is the sound. The bell rings out loud and clear, which is exactly what you want when signaling to pedestrians or fellow riders. My wife mentioned the lever is in a really comfortable spot, she can flick it with her thumb without shifting her grip, which keeps things safer and more natural while riding.
The one downside is the clamp. It doesn’t tighten down on the handlebars as firmly as she would prefer. It’s not falling off, but there’s just a little wiggle that makes it feel less secure than an ideal fit.
Overall, though, for the price and the fact that it works across bikes (not just kids’ models), we’d say it’s definitely worth considering. Cute design, functional sound, and mostly easy to use—just with that slight shortcoming in how snugly it attaches.
